We’re Excited to Announce a New Partner!

Ocmulgee Regional Library System is excited to partner with The Black Lotus Project Inc. to bring the Happy Helpings Summer Feeding Program to several ORLS library branches this summer.

Happy Helpings is Georgia’s Summer Food Service Program funded by the USDA and administered by DECAL’s Nutrition Services Division. Through this partnership, participating libraries will offer free weekly grocery meal pick-up for children ages 0–18 throughout the summer months. No registration, paperwork, or income verification is required. Pick up is first come, first serve at each location.

Participating branches include:

  • Telfair County Library
    Beginning Monday, May 25
    Every Monday • 11:30 AM–12:30 PM
  • Wheeler County Library
    Beginning Monday, May 25
    Every Monday • 1:30 PM–2:30 PM
  • Dodge County Library
    Beginning Thursday, May 28
    Every Thursday • 12 PM–1 PM
  • M.E. Roden Library
    Beginning Thursday, May 28

Summer can place extra strain on family grocery budgets, and programs like this can help families stretch their resources a little further while school is out. We are proud to help connect our communities with this free resource and encourage everyone to help spread the word.

The Black Lotus Project Inc. is an equal opportunity provider.
