How to Participate:

1. Visit Your Library

Starting May 26, stop by any ORLS branch to register and pick up your paper reading tracker.

2. Read All Summer

Track the minutes you read each day. We recommend reading 20 minutes a day.

Books, graphic novels, audiobooks, and being read to all count!

3. Check In Weekly

Bring your tracker to the library once each week to receive your prize and celebrate your progress.

Every minute counts!

4. Celebrate Your Reading

Read 120 minutes and earn a spot on the Readers Wall.

At the end of the summer, top readers in each age group will be recognized with prizes and a celebration party.

Weekly Check-Ins

Bring your paper reading tracker to the library once each week. Staff will total your minutes, initial your tracker, and give you your weekly prize.

You can check in any day your library is open, but only once per week.

Reading a little each day adds up fast!

Summer Events at Your Library

Every ORLS branch has a full lineup of free summer events for the whole family including performers, crafts, games, storytimes, and hands-on activities.

Visit any branch and join the fun all summer long.

Happy Helpings Summer Feeding Program

Ocmulgee Regional Library System is partnering with The Black Lotus Project Inc. to bring the Happy Helpings Summer Feeding Program to several ORLS library branches this summer.
Participating libraries will offer free weekly grocery meal pick-up for children ages 0–18 throughout the summer months.
No registration, paperwork, or income verification required. Pick-up is first come, first served.
Summer can place extra strain on family grocery budgets, and programs like this can help families stretch their resources a little further while school is out.
