The Ocmulgee Regional Library System offers a wide variety of resources for families:
The concept is simple, the rewards are priceless. Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to have read 1,000 books (you can repeat books) before your little one starts kindergarten. Does it sound hard? Not really if you think about it. If you read just 1 book a night, you will have read about 365 books in a year. That is 730 books in two years and 1,095 books in three years. If you consider that most children start kindergarten at around 5 years of age, you have more time than you think! For every 100 books read, your child will earn a prize. To get started, stop in at your local branch to register and they will get you going on your journey to 1,000 books!

Kanopy Kids is Kanopy’s curated collection of content for children, with a focus on ages 2-8. While in the Kanopy Kids section, you’ll only see content that’s age-appropriate and allows unlimited viewing. You can access Kanopy Kids by clicking “Kids” in the top-right corner of the homepage. Or, in the mobile app, tap More at the bottom of the screen then Go to Kanopy Kids.
You can set up parental controls to ensure children can’t view content outside of Kanopy Kids. While parental controls are enabled, a PIN is required to exit Kanopy Kids. When searching for content outside of Kanopy Kids, you may see titles with a “Kids” tag. Even when you’re not in the Kanopy Kids section, watching Kanopy Kids titles never consumes tickets.
