Summer Reading is a special program offered during the summer months. Designed to help children retain their reading levels, the Summer Reading Program is a series of storytimes, performers, and activities created to enhance your summer entertainment options. The majority of our programs are free, and participants can win special rewards for reaching goals.
There are so many reasons why you should be reading this summer! Encouraging your child to read through the summer fosters a love of reading and encourages learning through curiosity. The summer months offer the perfect opportunity to unplug, engage in a story, and relax.
Registration opens on May 19, and the registration link can be found here and on all of our social media pages.
The summer performer series is a FREE weekly event that brings quality performers to our libraries! From magicians to musicians, our performers will have your whole family tapping their toes, and bright with creative ideas!
Develop a library habit by selecting books, recording them on your child’s reading log, and then coming to the library to take in a performer! After the performer, pick out some new books to enjoy and repeat all summer long!
To add to your fun, you can also check out games, puzzles, movies and stream endless entertainment on Kanopy Kids.
We’re hosting a summer OPEN HOUSE at the Dodge County Public Library! Join us on May 16th and celebrate the end of the school year! Jump in a bouncy house, enjoy some great music, play some games and visit some community members.
Meet our new staff at the Dodge County- Murrell Memorial Library and our new regional Director, Kim Spencer, and Deputy Director, Karen Thompson!
Register your kiddo for the summer reading program and pick up your registration bag! It’s the Summer of Fun with the Dodge County Library!
