Fizz, Boom, Read! Finale at 3 p.m. July 30th at M.E. Roden Library

Ranger Jodi will be loading up her live critters as well as her solar bracelets for a Lightcatchers Party, Wednesday, July 30th, at 3 p.m. in the Dot Baker Community Room, M.E. Roden Library.    Jodi Sigei, a park ranger at Little Ocmulgee State Park in McRae, travels the midstate area educating people about wildlife native to Georgia.

A booklog will be the ticket for this finale to the library’s 2014 Summer Reading Program.  Children are required to bring along a supervising adult.

The program also features Pulaski County 4-H Director Sonya Jones and Dr. Fizz, who will announce the winner of the “Gumball Guess” competition.

ATLANTA — This summer, the Atlanta Braves are again partnering with Georgia Public Library Service (GPLS) for the 2014 Atlanta Braves Summer Reading Program, “Home Run Readers,” presented by SUBWAY.

The popular educational outreach program encourages students to build a love for reading, as well as advance their reading skills during the summer months.

Home Run Readers rewards students in grades K-12 throughout the state of Georgia with a free Braves ticket and a free SUBWAY “Fresh Fit For Kids Meal” for reading books and completing an online activity. Discounted tickets for accompanying family members and friends will be available for each game for as low as $12 each.
