The Friends of the Library is proud to host Cochran native, Tina Whittle at the Cochran-Bleckley Library August 25, 2015  at 6:30 PM.
Tina Whittle’s Tai Randolph/Trey Seaver series — featuring intrepid gun shop owner Tai and her corporate security agent partner Trey — has garnered starred reviews in Kirkus, Pub-lisher’s Weekly, Booklist, and Library Journal. Published by Poisoned Pen Press, this Atlanta-based series debuted with The Dangerous Edge of Things, followed by Darker Than Any Shadow (2012) and Blood, Ash and Bone (2013). The fourth book in the series — Deeper Than the Grave — releases in November 2014 (tinawhittle.com)

Bleckley Co. Library Announces Summer Reading Programming Dates

“EVERY HERO HAS A STORY” IS THE 2015 SUMMER READING PROGRAM THEME @
TESSIE W. NORRIS/COCHRAN-BLECKLEY LIBRARY
The Tessie W. Norris/Cochran-Bleckley Library will present “Every Hero Has A Story” as their Summer Reading Program. The 2015 Summer Reading Program is open to children–preschool through middle school. Registration for “Every Hero Has A Story” begins on May 18th. Registration ends on May 30th.
The programs will be:
 Thursday, June 4th @ 10:00 a.m. – Magician Ken Scott
 Wednesday, June 10th @ 10:00 a.m. – Comic Book Artist Tracy Yardley (for ages 6 & up only)
 Wednesday, June 17th @ 10:00 a.m. – Little Ocmulgee State Park Ranger Jodi Sigei
 Wednesday, June 24th @ 10:00 a.m. – Artist Martha Francis
